Box Score The Maryville College Lady Scots continued their dominance in the USA South on Tuesday evening, as Maryville clinched the USA South South Division Title with a 3-1 win over Piedmont College.
The Lady Scots extended their win streak to 13 games with a 25-16, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22 win over the Pride. Maryville moves to 21-8 overall, while still holding an unblemished record in the USA South at 14-0.
The Lady Scots were led by Kelsey Handel's 17-kill outing, as she hit .433 percent on the evening. Abrianna Jones added 13 kills of her own, while Sophia del Campo had a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Mary Kate White contributed nine kills.
Senior Morgan Hall led Maryville with 34 assists on the evening, as Lauren Bonee added 20 of her own.
Mallory Bonee had 14 digs to lead the Lady Scots, while Stephanie Gleason and del Campo added 12 each.
Piedmont was led by a nine-kill effort by Taylor Cramsey. Kait Steele had 14 assists, while Xandy Green added 11. Randee Harvel had 20 digs for the Pride.
Piedmont falls to 18-11 overall, while holding a 9-5 record in the USA South.
The Lady Scots will travel to Montgomery, Ala. on Saturday to face Huntindgon College at 10 a.m. Maryville will face LaGrange at 2 p.m. to wrap up the regular season schedule.
