Box Score The Maryville College Lady Scots continued their dominance within the USA South Conference, as they volleyball squad advances to the USA South Conference Tournament Championship with a 3-1 win over Averett University.
The Scots took the match with a score of 25-19, 25-15, 24-26, 25-19.
Maryville was led by 12-kill efforts by USA South Player of the Year Kelsey Handel and Rachel Kozemko. Kozemko also added a total of nine digs for a near double-double, while Handel had three blocks for the Lady Scots.
Mary Kate White had nine kills for Maryville, while Madison Coker had eight.
The Lady Scots were led defensively by Mallory Bonee, who contributed 19 digs. Stephanie Gleason and Lauren Bonee each had eight digs on the day.
Morgan Hall had 23 assists on the day, as Lauren Bonee split time for 22 assists.
Averett was led by an 18-kill outing by Hannah Shields who had a double-double with 10 digs.
Jessica Sheek had 11 kills, while Nicole Barringer tallied 39 assists.
Averett ends their season with a 22-15 mark, while Maryville advances to 25-8.
Maryville will look to face Covenant College (27-9) at 6 p.m. for the USA South Championship.
