Box Score 2 The Maryville College Volleyball team remained undefeated in USA South Athletic Conference challenges with a pair of match sweeps on Saturday afternoon in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The Scots defeated LaGrange College 3-0 by the scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-9. They concluded their weekend swing through Georgia with a 3-0 win over Huntingdon by the scores of 25-14, 25-11, and 25-12.
During the LaGrange challenge, Mary Kate White and Rachel Kozemko paced MC at the net with 11 and eight kills respectively. Lauren Bonee directed the offense with 11 assists while Kozemko led the defense with eight digs. Kaitlyn Flickinger added seven digs while White and Kori Jacot combined for seven assisted blocks to add to the defensive pressure. LaGrange fell to 8-10 and 1-2 in USA South action.
The Huntingdon match saw Lauren Bonee and Morgan Hall combine for 26 assists, connecting with their favorite targets of Sophia del Campo (6 kills), Mary Kate White (6 kills), Kori Jacot (5 kills), and Nia Haller (5 kills). Mallory Bonee tallied a dozen digs. The Hawks fell to 4-10 overall and 0-4 within the league while the Scots are now 10-8 and 3-0 within the USA South Athletic Conference.
Maryville will host Piedmont College on Wednesday evening on MC's Randy Lambert Court beginning at 6:30 p.m.
