The Maryville College Scots picked up a USA South victory on the road Friday night, as MC defeated the Hawks of Huntingdon College, 3-0, in Montgomery, Ala.
The Scots took the victory, 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.
Maryville (14-14, 8-5 USAS) hit .265 for the match, as seven different Scots recorded kills on the afternoon.
For the fourth match in a row, Maryville was led by Abrianna Jones. Jones recorded eight kills, while posting four digs and a block. Julia Vineyard matched Jones' eight-kill effort, as the fellow senior had one assist, two blocks and three digs.
Vineyard hit .467 on the match.
Brianne Sidner had seven kills, followed by Nia Haller (6), Dejane Hester-Taylor (5), Saidee McDaniel (2) and Kelley Wandell (1).
McDaniel tallied 25 assists to go with a team-leading two service aces. Mackenzie Marcrum had a team-high 13 digs, while Kaitlyn Flickinger tallied 12 with five assists. McDaniel had eight digs, as Haller and Yasmeen Chan each had seven.
Huntingdon College (9-19, 4-9) had Audrianna Hargitt finish the night with 13 kills on a .333 clip. She had a double-double, adding 13 digs, one assist and one service ace.
Devyn Stringer had 17 assists for the Hawks, while Shelby Young recorded 15 digs on the afternoon.
Maryville will have a week off, before they return to Boydson Baird Gymnasium on Thursday, Oct. 27. MC's matchup with the Spirits of Salem College is set for 7 p.m.
