Box Score The Maryville College volleyball team advanced to 3-3 on the season with a 3-0 shutout over Ferrum College by the scores of 25-10, 25-15, 26-16 in Roanoke, Virginia on Saturday afternoon.
Maryville's efficient offense was directed by setters Saidee McDaniel and Meredith Bonee. The duo combined for 28 set assists. Their favorite targets were Maggie Mathews and Dejane Hester-Taylor. Mathews threw down a match-high 10 kills while Hester-Taylor connected for a 54% attack rate and seven kills. Kelley Wandell and Brianne Sidner were strong at the net with five kills each in 17 total attacks. Natalie Watts paced MC's defensive effort with nine digs while Bonee returned six Panther attacks.
The Scots (3-3) will take on Hollins University later on Saturday to complete action in the 2019 Roanoke Invitational.
