Maryville College Head Coach Raul Placeres was excited about his squad's effort on Sunday.
"We really wanted to grow this weekend from our week one performance. Allowing 17 points in the first half and 53 for the game is really good. Are we there yet no, but we did take steps in the right direction," stated the second-year mentor. "Our most impressive stats for the night: we outrebounded them by 29 and did not allow an offensive rebound."
Coach Placeres concluded by saying, "We are heading back to Maryville to handle our academics, stay masked up and healthy, and God willing play a good Huntingdon team at home next weekend."
The Scots will return to the Boydson Baird Gymnasium next weekend to host Huntingdon College with a Friday tip-off slated for 6:00 p.m.
