MARYVILLE – Maryville recognized its senior class in style with a 6-1 victory over LaGrange here Saturday.

Kaleb Burke was honored in similar fashion by the team during Friday's practice since he was unavailable to be at the match on Saturday.
Wyrick for this match earned the nod at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. He fought valiantly in both duels before falling 6-4 in doubles and 6-3, 6-3 in singles. But his teammates picked him up and won the other two doubles matches and five other singles matches.
James Smith,
Field Myatt and
Luka Romano all produced wins in doubles and singles. Smith and Myatt teamed up on a 7-6 (7-4) victory in No. 1 doubles, while Romano and
Gabriel Villalonga Serra won a 6-1 decision at the No. 2 post.
In singles, Smith breezed 6-0, 6-0 and Romano won 6-2, 7-5. Myatt also won handily with a 6-1, 6-0 score line.
Pedro Cunha prevailed 6-3, 6-3 and then
Ian Martin delivered Maryville's sixth point with a 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (13-11) victory at No. 4.
Maryville with the win improved to 9-5 overall and 2-2 in the Collegiate Conference of the South. LaGrange is now 6-11 and 0-4.
The Scots play again Friday in the conference home finale against Belhaven (4-7, 0-2) in a match that has plenty of impact on seeding for the upcoming CCS Tournament. Start time against the Blazers is an early 11 a.m.
