Dear Scots Family,
We are excited to continue Scots Wha Hae, our annual fall giving campaign dedicated to strengthening the future of Maryville College Athletics. Following the tremendous support of our inaugural campaign, which raised nearly $200,000, we are ready to build on that momentum and make an even greater impact this year. As part of this year's campaign, we are also proud to introduce a new Athletics giving club—the Swordbearer Society.
Historically, Swordbearers were appointed by Scottish clan chiefs to wield heavy weaponry, lead charges, and take part in ceremonial traditions that inspired their fellow Scots and instilled a sense of pride and unity. The MC Swordbearer Society carries that spirit into the present, recognizing those who provide meaningful support for the future of Maryville College Athletics. Members will receive exclusive benefits based on their giving tier, and the first 100 donors who join the Society during this year's Scots Wha Hae campaign will receive a College-branded hat featuring the Swordbearer crossed-swords logo on the back.
The Swordbearer Society offers three levels of membership: Orange, Garnet, and Tartan.
At the Orange level, members receive a Swordbearer decal and a personal note from their program's head coach.
At the Garnet level, that grows to include a letter from me, football season parking, an annual apparel gift, and membership in the College's President's Circle.
And at the Tartan level, members receive everything from the previous levels, along with invitations to the Football President's Tent and other special events, recognition in our Cooper lobby and digital game programs, and season tickets for both men's and women's basketball.
All gifts of $250+ to athletics qualify for the Swordbearers society, including gifts given to individual programs
Whether you are an alum who remembers the pride of wearing the orange and garnet, a family member watching your student-athlete compete and grow, or a friend of Maryville College Athletics, your support makes a direct impact. Maryville College's fiscal year runs from June 1st to May 31st. When you make a qualifying gift to Maryville College Athletics between June 1st and May 31st, you qualify for Swordbearer Society benefits in the following fiscal year. This year, benefits marked with an * will count during the current fiscal year as well
