MARYVILLE, Tenn. – Maryville College showcased a dominant performance at the Scots Invitational, claiming top finishes in multiple events, including standout victories from
Clarence McLean in the 100 and 200 meters,
Adyn Elliott in the 800 meters and 3000 steeplechase, and a first-place team finish in the men's 4x100 relay. The Scots set an impressive five school records during this meet.
Sprints
Clarence McLean secured first place in the Men's 100 Meters Finals with a time of 10.57 and also won the Men's 200 Meters with a time of 21.53. McLean's victory in the 100 meters was complemented by personal records from
Zedrick Drew in both the 100 and 200 meters and
LaRue Tisby in the 100 meters. MC's relay team, consisting of Ray Casseus,
LaRue Tisby,
Zedrick Drew, and McLean, took first in the Men's 4 x 100 Relay with a time of 43.12, achieving a season-best performance.
Middle Distance
Adyn Elliott claimed victory in the Men's 800 Meters with a time of 2:00.04, while
James LeNeve followed in third place at 2:01.50, both achieving personal records. The Men's 4 x 800 Relay team, including LeNeve,
Sam Cocchia,
Nathan Butler, and Elliott, finished first with a time of 8:25.11, setting a new school record.
Sam Cocchia also set a personal record in the 3k steeplechase.
Distance
James LeNeve won the Men's 1500 Meters at 4:17.40, and
Nathan Butler placed second in the Men's 5000 Meters with a time of 17:53.59.
Tyler Tangel secured first place in the Men's 10,000 Meters with a time of 34:42.39, setting a school record and personal best in the process. All Maryville College runners achieved personal records in the 1500 meters, including
Paul Kanios who also set a personal record in the 3k.
Hurdles
Nolan Hutson placed fourth in the Men's 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:10.32, marking a personal record for him.
Jumps
Jacob Faulkner won the Men's Pole Vault with a height of 3.95m, while
Turner Davis took second in the Men's Long Jump with a mark of 5.92m.
Jackson Lakeman also achieved a personal record in the Long Jump. In the Men's Triple Jump,
Manny Palmer secured first place with a distance of 13.40m, while
Turner Davis also set a personal record.
Throws
Sky Pleasant achieved first place in the Men's Shot Put with a throw of 14.37m and also won the Men's Discus with a mark of 45.35m, setting a school record in Discus and a personal best in Shot Put.
Lukas Yackley placed second in the Men's Hammer with a throw of 44.30m, setting a new school record.
Scott Meredith and
Ashton Camp both set personal records in the Hammer, with Meredith also achieving a personal best in the Javelin. Fischer Thomas and
Lukas Yackley set personal records in the Shot Put as well.
