Attended South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina … Played three seasons under Head Coach Brian Hoop …. Senior-year captain. 

Stats: As senior, had a batting average of .329, on-base percentage of .433 and on-base plus slugging of .828 … Over career, had a batting average of .276, an on-base percentage .381 and a .932 fielding percent.  
Honors: 4A All-Conference … MVP.
