Box Score The Maryville College baseball team dropped the final game of a USA South series to Greensboro College on Saturday by the score of 3-0 at Leonard Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Pride's John Atkins limited MC bats to only four hits on the afternoon while Greensboro connected for three earned runs and 10 hits of Maryville starter Chris Sutherland.
Greensboro's James Feldman (3-for-4) laced a single scoring Matt Irwin (2-for-4) in the bottom of the third inning. The Pride extended their lead in the seventh inning when a lead-off double and three additional hits led to an RBI infield hits and a Matthew Parker RBI single.
Andrew Mabini, Nick Dean, Jesse Crisp, and Garrett Gresham were the only four Scots to collect hits off the Pride's Atkins.
Zach Royals came in to earn the save for Greensboro with three innings of no-hit relief.
The Scots fall to 14-16 overall and 9-12 in USA South action. Greensboro advances to 13-20 and 7-14 in league play.
Maryville will hosts Covenant College in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 2nd. First pitch on MC's Scotland Yard is slated for 4:00.
