Box Score Maryville College women's soccer team defeated the Scots of Covenant College 3-1 for a conference victory.
Head coach Pepe Fernandez reaches the 600 mark for all-time career victories with the 3-1 win.
In the game Maryville outshot Covenant 29-5 in total shots and 16-2 in shots on goal. Allyson Hale put Maryville on the board in the first half with an unassisted goal in the 23rd minute. The score would remain 1-0 for the remainder of the first half.
Allyson Hale scored her second goal of the game in the 74th minute unassisted putting the Scots ahead 2-0. Jordyn Lee put the Scots ahead 3-0 in the 75th minute with an unassited goal. The Scots of Covenant College would breakup the shutout on a goal recorded by Anna Porch in the 75th minute. However, the run from Covenant was a little too late.
Maryville improves to 7-4 on the season 5-0 in conferece play. The Scots will face Huntingdon on the road Saturday at 4:00pm.
