Box Score The pitching tandem of Gavin Free and Nathan Edwards limited Maryville College to only three hits and allowed Huntingdon College to take the third game of a USA South series by the score of 14-1 in a run-ruled league challenge.
Huntingdon compiled 10 hits while the Scots added nine walks to help the visitor's cause.
Greg Burland, Landon Talley, and John McDermott secured the only hits on the day for the Scots.
Huntingdon advances to 17-10 overall and 12-6 in USA South challenges. Gavin Free (4-3) picked up the win with four innings of work. He allowed only a pair of hits while striking out eight.
Maryville falls to 11-12 overall and 6-9 within the USA South. Sean Holton (0-3) was touched for six earned runs on four hits in two innings of work.
The Scots will host Rhodes College in a non-conference mid-week game on Wednesday. The doubleheader on Scotland Yard is scheduled for a 2:00 first-pitch.
