Box Score Maryville College women's soccer team drops a game to Rhodes College 2-1.
Rhodes College jumped out to an early 1-0 lead Saturday afternoon recording a goal form Emma Selner assisted by Sarah Rostamo in the 16th minute. The Scots would answer back but not until the second period scoring an unassisted goal in the 58th minute from Casey Gentile evening up the score 1-1. The Lynx would quickly answer back connecting on the go ahead goal from Ellie Valega in the 61st minute unassisted.
The Scots offense had several attacks late in the game but were unable to connect in the hard fought physical game. With a final score of 2-1 the Lynx of Rhodes College improve to 3-1-1 and the Scots fall o 2-4 on the season.
The Scots will open up conference play with William Peace at home Friday September 19th at 6:00pm.
