Box Score Maryville College's Allyson Hale connected on a pair of goals to help the Scots defeat Agnes Scott College 3-1 on Tuesday evening.
Hale attacked the net on seven occasions with the Scots out shooting the Scotties 25-8 during the challenge.
MC went up 1-0 in the first period when Monica Besbris did a touch pass to Hale and the senior deposited her second goal of the season at the 37:53 mark.
At the 46:33 mark in the early second period, Hale took a touch pass from Sierra Siegel in the right corner and sent a blast past the keeper in the right corner of the net to secure the game-winner with her third goal of the year.
MC sophomore Kara Tubb gave the Scots some breathing room at the 57 minute mark when she took a corner kick and beat the keeper with her first goal of the season.
Agnes Scott would deny MC a shutout when Zoey Perchaluk beat a pair of defenders with a high placement goal just beyond the out stretched grasp of keeper Mandy Marshall.
Scotties keeper Sydney Holstad turned away 12 of Maryville's 15 shots on goal while Rachel Taylor and Mandy Marshall each recorded a save for the team victory in net.
Agnes Scott falls to 3-3 on the season while the Scots advance to 3-1. Maryville will now prepare to challenge Meredith College to open their tough USA South schedule on Friday with a 6:00 scheduled start.
