Mike & Mary Kay Johnson Invitational Results
 
BEREA, Ky. – Every Maryville Scot ran a season-best, personal record or was just seconds away from their best team to highlight the team's effort at the Mike & Mary Kay Johnson Invitational, hosted by Berea.
 
Isabelle Juda was the team's top finisher in eighth place with a time of 21 minutes and 30.79 seconds. 
Kristina Buckley was the next Maryville runner to cross in 24th place with a time of 23:24.46, followed by 
Anastasia Lamar in 45th place and Shelby Armintrout in 47th. Next for the Scots were 
Danna Vazquez-Barrera in 53rd and 
Madison Smith in 58th place.
"The women's team had an awesome race today, showing lots of confidence and grit," Maryville head coach Kaitlyn Carringer-Adams said. "Izzy placed eighth, and every single girl on our team ran their season best, personal record, or was just seconds away from their best time."
 
Carringer-Adams pointed out that Vazquez-Barrera best her PR by 3 minutes and 29 seconds.

 
"The girls gave it their all, and their performance showed," Carringer-Adams said. "I'm very proud of everyone's overall effort."
 
Maryville is on the course next at home on Sept. 30 for the Maryville College Invitational. Start times are 9:30 a.m. for the women's race and 10:15 for the men's competition.
