Confident, Gritty Scots Run Well at Berea

Mike & Mary Kay Johnson Invitational Results

BEREA, Ky. – Every Maryville Scot ran a season-best, personal record or was just seconds away from their best team to highlight the team's effort at the Mike & Mary Kay Johnson Invitational, hosted by Berea.

Isabelle Juda was the team's top finisher in eighth place with a time of 21 minutes and 30.79 seconds. Kristina Buckley was the next Maryville runner to cross in 24th place with a time of 23:24.46, followed by Anastasia Lamar in 45th place and Shelby Armintrout in 47th. Next for the Scots were Danna Vazquez-Barrera in 53rd and Madison Smith in 58th place.

"The women's team had an awesome race today, showing lots of confidence and grit," Maryville head coach Kaitlyn Carringer-Adams said. "Izzy placed eighth, and every single girl on our team ran their season best, personal record, or was just seconds away from their best time."

Carringer-Adams pointed out that Vazquez-Barrera best her PR by 3 minutes and 29 seconds.
