Shinn Named for Fourth Time

MARYVILLE – Maryville's Megan Shinn keeps piling up those rookie honors. She was named Collegiate Conference of the South Rookie of the Week for a fourth time in 2024.
 
The first-year Scot finished 33rd Friday at the UTC Home Meet, hosted by Chattanooga. She posted a personal-best time of 25 minutes and 48.5 seconds in the 6K race, bettering her previous time over that distance by more than a minute.
 
A Clarksville native, Shinn was the top first-year finisher among all CCS participants in the UTC race.
 
She and her teammates have their sights set on the CCS Championships, which take place Nov. 1 in Clinton, Mississippi.
