Maryville turned the calendar to 2025 Tuesday night and scored its first victory of the season, 75-34 over Wesleyan. The 34 points allowed were the fewest by an opponent since Feb. 6, 2021, when MC defeated Agnes Scott 98-25. Halle Kitchen and Emma Huskey both scored 12 points for Maryville, with the pair also bringing down seven rebounds apiece. For Kitchen, it was a season-high point total. Maryville and Warren Wilson are meeting for the first time in at least 13 years.

The Scots play their final nonconference opponent of the 2024-25 regular season when Warren Wilson completes the home-and-home set. Maryville won 87-71 against the Owls back on Dec. 4 in the second of this current four-game winning streak. It was the smallest margin of victory for Maryville against Warren Wilson since an 82-68 Scots triumph back in January 1988. Maryville has won 15 straight in the series since the Owls prevailed 78-74 in Swannanoa back in December 1981.
