ATLANTA, Ga. – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Women's Basketball Players of the Week.
Leighan Jackson earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Freshman forward Leighan Jackson turned in an impressive showing at the Nelson Hinson Invitational, leading Maryville in scoring across the weekend. Jackson recorded 30 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal over the two-game stretch, providing a steady presence in the frontcourt. Jackson was flawless from the field in Maryville's contest against Catholic, shooting 4-for-4, and followed with another efficient outing against York (Pa.), connecting on 6-of-7 shots from the floor while going a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. Her strong all-around performance earned her a spot on the Nelson Hinson Invitational All-Tournament Team.
