Maryville shaved 20 shots off its team score in Round 2 to wrap up the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational, taking place on the Atlantic Coast.
MaKenzie Pile made eight pars on her way to an 11-over-par 83, which was a seven-shot improvement over her Monday round. Pile, who parred three in a row over holes 2-4, finished in a tie for 22nd place at 173.
Chloe Dunlap shot 88 for a five-shot improvement to climb into a tie for 42nd place at 181. Dunlap helped herself with four pars and had just two double-bogeys. She finished in a tie for 42nd place.
Emma Clonan shot 93 for the second day in a row and tied for 53rd place at 186. Clonan on Tuesday carded six pars, including three consecutive over holes 13-15.
Emily Miller closed out the Maryville scoring in Round 2 with a 10-shot improvement to 93. She finished in a tie for 63rd place at 196.
Makayla Smith shot 102 and
Lillie Peterson, playing as an individual, fired a 98.
The Scots finished in 10th place at 158-over-par 734.

In two very different ball games, the Scots showed their tenacity and came away with two hard fought victories over Belhaven, winning game one 9-2 and game two 11-10 over the pre-season favorites to win the CCS.
The Scots look for the sweep today at noon.
