MOUNT BERRY, Ga - Down 8-2 in the fifth, Coach Helton's squad used grit and determination to mount an unbelievable comeback win over Berry.
The Berry Vikins started incredibly hot, scoring 1, 2, 2, and 3 runs in each of the first four innings respectively. Through those innings, The Scots were only able to move two runners across home plate.
From then on, Maryville would outscore Berry 9-1 to end the game, scoring three runs in the fifth, two in the sixth, one in the seventh, and then three in the ninth to complete the come-from-behind victory.

Colin Dunworth on a sac fly.
Dunworth would knock a ball out of the park (his third of the year) in the fourth to score the second run for the Scots.
Det Dettwiller batted in a season best four RBI in the game, including one in the fifth on a single to CF too start the comeback, two in the sixth on a home run blast, and the 11th and final run of the game on a sac fly to center field to add the insurance run. Dettwiller scored
Reece Jordan in the fifth and sixth, and
Daniel Montaña in the ninth.
Cody Meier had another strong outing, finishing the game with two runs on three hits and three RBI. Meier homered TWICE in the game, once in the seventh (a solo-shot) and again in the ninth to overtake Berry on a two-run bomb that also scored Collin Dunworth. Meier now has four home runs on the year along with 12 RBI and is batting a team-best .478, which ranks third in the conference as well.
