The Scots achieved similar results on both days of the Scots Invitational, as Maryville took down Hanover 14-5 and fell to Oglethorpe 13-2.
A hot start gave Maryville the advantage they needed to dominate the Panthers of Hanover. MC scored four runs in the bottom of the second thanks to singles by Reece Jordan and AJ Finco. The bottom of the fourth proved to be the difference in the game, with Maryville blasting eight runs on eight hits.
The Scots used only two pitchers in the game. Starter Caleb Jinks pitched five full innings, allowing only two earned runs on four hits and striking out eight, an impressive performance. Reliever Kaden Wimsatt pitched the final four innings, earning the save.

Maryville couldn't quite put it together against a solid Oglethorpe team either day, as the Scots fell to the Stormy Petrels 13-2.
The Scots did start off the scoring in the game on a double by Cody Meier that scored Colin DunworthBrayden Evans would score in the fifth inning, adding the only other run for Maryville in the game.

Berry comes in to the game 8-5 overall, and most recently dropped a series against Belhaven.
