Maryville hosts the third annual Scots Invitational Friday and Saturday. The teams competing at the event alongside the Scots are Berea, Wilmington (OH), Sewanee, Tennessee Running Club, and Carson-Newman. Most recently, the T&F men accumulated 39 team points at the Tornado Classic in Brevard, N.C., placing 8th out of 10 teams. The women also competed in the Tornado Classic, earning 35 team points and finishing tied for sixth out of 11 teams.Â

The Scots have won all three of their conference series so far, sweeping Asbury and Huntingdon and taking 2 of 3 against Belhaven. Maryville is riding a seven-game winning streak and sits in first in the conference standings. Most recently, MC took down Asbury, allowing the Eagles to score just once over three games. South of the Tennessee boarder, Covenant ended their seven-game losing streak on Tuesday, taking down Berry in 11 innings 5-4. The Scots of Covenant are 13-16 overall and 2-10 in CCS play.
