MARYVILLE - Baseball's
Colin Dunworth was named on Tuesday to the ABCA/Rawlings and D3Baseball.com All-Region Second Teams.
Dunworth had a standout year for the Scots, earning CCS Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team honors. The junior center fielder was a force both offensively and defensively, finishing the regular season with a .374 batting average, good for top 10th in the conference and second on the team. Dunworth led the CCS in slugging percentage (.632) and ranked second in OPS (1.090), while tying for the league lead with seven home runs. His 58 hits were second-most in the conference, and he also drove in 35 runs, placing him fourth overall. The junior from Nolensville stole 12 bases and recorded 81 putouts in 85 chances with a .965 fielding percentage.
Dunworth was instrumental in the Scots earning their first at-large NCAA Tournament selection since 1977 and helped the team earn their first victory in the tournament since 1974.
