MARYVILLE - Head Women's Golf Coach Katie Brinker has announced her decision to step down from her post, effective immediately.
Brinker came to the Scots as the first dedicated women's golf head coach in program history last summer. She led the Scots to a tournament victory in the 2024 Forest Hills Fall Invitational and had three other top-5 finishes in her time as head coach.
"I'm thankful for the time I spent at Maryville College," Brinker said. "The team showed tremendous growth during the 2024-2025 season. They are moving in the right direction with a strong momentum and will continue to make a name for themselves. I trust that the Athletic Department will find a leader for the team that embodies what it means to be a Scot."
AD Andrew Wu included his thoughts on the opening, saying:
"Katie put some great structures in place this year to advance our women's golf program and made a big difference in her short time with us. We're excited to continue that momentum with our next head coach"
The search for a new coach has already begun.
