MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Maryville Scots women's golf team continued its 2026-27 campaign in Memphis, Tennessee, turning in a record-setting performance at the Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational.
Emma Clonan led the Scots with a historic performance, carding a 75 (+4) in the opening round before firing a 73 (+2) in the second round. Her second-round 73 marked the lowest 18-hole score in Maryville College women's golf history, while her two-round total of 148 (+6) set the program record for the lowest 36-hole score. Clonan finished tied for fourth overall.
Charlsie McElhaney finished tied for 18th with a 155 (+13), while Mallory Higgins carded a 160 (+18) to finish tied for 29th. Addison Smith finished 36th with a 164 (+22), and Sydney Rodgers rounded out the Scots with a 173 (+31) to tie for 49th.
As a team, Maryville posted a 307 (+23) in the opening round, marking the lowest single-round score in program history. The Scots followed with a 320 (+36) in the second round to finish with a two-round team total of 627 (+59).
Three Scots also recorded new personal records during the tournament. The Scots are back in action Monday, October 5 at the Chimney Oaks Women's Invitational, hosted by former CCS opponent, Piedmont.
