DICKSON, Tenn. – The Maryville Scots women's golf team opened the 2026-27 campaign at the SAA Fall Classic in Dickson, Tennessee, placing sixth among the participating SAA teams.
Sophomore Mallory Higgins led the Scots, opening with a 78 (+6) before carding another 78 (+6) in the second round to finish with a two-round total of 156 (+12).
Charlsie McElhaney finished tied for 20th with a 160 (+16), while Emma Clonan carded a 162 (+18) to finish 25th. Addison Smith and Sydney Rodgers rounded out the Scots, shooting 174 (+30) and 179 (+35) to finish 40th and 42nd, respectively.
As a team, Maryville posted a 322 (+34) in the opening round and a 328 (+40) in the second round to finish with a combined score of 650 (+74).
The Scots will look to continue their early-season success at the Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational next weekend in Memphis, Tennessee, hosted by fellow SAA member Rhodes.
