HOMER, Ga. – The Maryville Scots women's golf team continued its fall season at the Chimney Oaks Women's Invitational in Homer, Ga.
Sophomore Charlsie McElhaney led the Scots, opening the tournament with a 78 (+6) before carding a 77 (+5) in the second round and an 83 (+11) in the final round. McElhaney finished with a three-round total of 238 (+22), tying for eighth place individually.
Mallory Higgins followed with a 240 (+24) to finish 13th, while Emma Clonan carded a 249 (+33) to finish 21st. Addison Smith and Sydney Rodgers rounded out the Maryville lineup, finishing tied for 22nd and 29th, respectively, with scores of 251 (+35) and 264 (+48).
As a team, Maryville posted a 320 (+32) in the opening round, followed by a 319 (+31) in the second round and a 339 (+51) in the final round. The Scots finished the tournament with a three-round total of 978 (+114).
Maryville will wrap up its fall season next Monday and Tuesday at the Clovernook Women's Collegiate in Cincinnati, Ohio.
