Wu Announces Split of Tennis Team Coaches

MARYVILLE, Tenn. -  For the first time in program history, the Scots will have separate full-time men's and women's tennis head coaches.

"Transitioning to separate head coaches for our Men's and Women's Tennis programs marks an important step forward for Maryville Tennis as we continue to grow and compete at a high level in the SAA," Director of Athletics Andrew Wu said of the change. "This structure creates a more equitable model for our student-athletes and allows each coach to dedicate their full attention to recruiting, player development, and team success."

This marks the first time in Maryville College athletics history that there will be two full-time tennis coaches, a sign of the college's commitment to support its student-athletes and compete at the highest level.

"I'm excited for the future of tennis at Maryville College and the opportunities this change will create for our student-athletes."

The Scots will transition officially to the SAA on July 1, marking a new era for Maryville College Athletics. In their final regular-season match this past year, the men's tennis squad took down future SAA foe Millsaps, setting the stage for the future of the team in the new conference.
