MARYVILLE, Tenn. — After months of hard work and fundraising, the Maryville College men's and women's soccer programs are beginning the 2026 season with newly renovated locker rooms designed to better serve their student-athletes.
For the women's soccer program, the newly renovated space has been named the Stevens Family Women's Soccer Locker Room in recognition of Chelse Stevens '09, Scott Stevens '08, and the entire Stevens Family and their incredibly generous support of the project. The project was also supported by current Trustee, Jenny Jett Erwin '68, WSOC alum Crissy Wieck '00, and many others who made the work in Cooper a reality. The new women's locker room features a main area with 29 new lockers with the old locker room becoming a social and study space for the team.
The men's soccer locker room also received a significant renovation starting last summer with the hard work led by Assistant Coach
Jameson Elmore. The project was continued through the gracious support of
Tom Slay and Ben Slay '27, Finish Point Trim and Millwork, and the support of alums and friends of the program.
"I'm thrilled for our student-athletes to get the spaces they deserve," said Director of Athletics
Andrew Wu.
"These are two championship programs with deep histories and I couldn't be more thankful to the Stevens Family, the Slay family, and all who made the renovations possible through their generosity and efforts."
With the renovations now complete, both soccer programs can turn their attention toward the 2026 season, their first in the SAA.
