Box Score The Lady Scots basketball team completed their weekend swing through Virginia with an 83-36 over USA South foe Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia on Monday evening.
Maryville's Janell Menard dropped a game-high 14 points in 16 minutes of action. The senior guard went 5-for-7 from the floor. Point guard Lauren Burnett added 12 points while Lauren Trent and Kiera Payne each tossed in nine points.
The Scots shot 50% from beyond the three-point line (14-for-28) while defensively forcing 29 Fighting Squirrel turnovers and limiting Mary Baldwin to 35% shooting.
Mary Baldwin falls to 0-18 overall and 0-11 within the USA South. Maryville remains in first place in the USA South with their 16-2 overall mark and 10-1 league record.
The Scots will prepare for a USA South weekend road trip on Saturday. MC will challenge Meredith College on Saturday and William Peace College on Sunday.
