Box Score The Maryville College women's soccer team concluded their regular season with a 4-0 shutout over Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
MC's Allyson Hale found the back of the net off a Sierra Siegel pass five minutes into the challenge. Hale promptly found Ashley Howarth on the left side ten minutes later for Howarth's 13th goal of the season. At the half, Maryville led 2-0 with eleven shots on goal.
The Scots' continued their attack following the half. At the 65th minute, Hale recorded her second assist finding Howarth in the middle of the field for a goal. Howarth's 14 goal of the season gave Maryville a 3-0 advantage.
As the game wound down, MC's Phoebe Leo found Taylor Emerson and the senior dribbled past the goalkeeper for her third goal of the season. Maryville finished the match with 21 shots on goal.
Mandy Marshall and Megan Nugent shared the shutout in goal stopping a pair of shots on goal.
Greensboro falls to 7-7-1 overall and 6-4-1 in USA South action. Maryville advances to 12-2-2 and 10-1-1 in USA South challenges. The Scots will host a first round match on November 2nd during the USA South Championships.
