Box Score The Maryville College women's basketball team continued their winning ways with a 65-56 road victory over William Peace University on Sunday afternoon in Raleigh, North Carolina.
MC's Kiera Payne paced the Scots in scoring with 17 points while Lailah Farmer hit 3-of-4 three-pointers en route to a 14 point performance. Alex Bond and Mackenzie Puckett each tossed in eight points while Tayler Smith and Puckett were strong on the boards with 10 and 9 rebounds respectively.
William Peace (5-15, 1-12 USA South) was led by Krystal Williams' game-high 21 points after going 12-for-15 at the free throw line. Callie Yohn added 11 points.
Maryville (18-2, 12-1) will put their No.25 national ranking and first place standing on the line Wednesday as they travel to Ferrum College (18-2, 12-1 USA South). Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Ferrum, Virginia.
