The Maryville College men's and women's tennis programs opened their spring season on Sunday with a pair of losses to USA South Athletic Conference foe Covenant College.
The Georgian Scots defeated both the Maryville College men and the Maryville College women with a 9-0 score.
Maryville's Markos Herrero forced a third set, defeating Chris Cox, 7-5, in the second. Cox gained the victory, 10-6, in the extra set, while the women's Caitlin Jennings fell in two close sets.
