The Maryville College tennis squads dropped a match to Piedmont College on Tuesday afternoon at Maryville College.
The MC women's squad took a 6-3 loss, while the men fell 9-0 to the Lions.
Maryville's women were led by Jenny Pavlides, who won her singles match over Tatiana Burkett, 6-0, 7-6. Pavlides was the only Scot to earn a victory in action, as both Katie Stephens and Madison Reilly, as well as McKennah Francis earned victories in no contests.
For the men, Wes Bloeme held a 6-1 win in the first set, but Harrison LaBollita stormed back for a 2-6 victory in the second. The duo settled it in a tiebreaker, as LaBollita won 1-0.
