Maryville College dropped their sixth match in a row on Wednesday afternoon, as the Scots fell 8-1 to the Piedmont College Lions.
Maryville's Marcos Herrero earned Maryville's only win of the day, 6-4, 6-4, for the Scots, as he downed Piedmont's Bryan Barnett. The Scots posted an impressive bout in the day's opening match of doubles, as the top-seeded team took Piedmont to extras.
The duo of Daniel Silva and Herrero pushed Nathan Metzger and Jackson Hill - the Lions top doubles squad - to a 9-8 final as MC fell.
Maryville will look next to take on Brewton-Parker College tomorrow, March 30, on the Scots' Courts. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
