Maryville College earned their second USA South Athletic Conference victory of the season on Saturday, as the Scots downed LaGrange College, 5-4.
MC moved to 2-1 overall in league play, as it came down to the wire with the Panthers.
"They are very excited," Co-Head Coach Deidra Dunn said. "It came down to Anya's court. She did a great job of staying focused, especially with the wind. It was a great win for her."
Anastasia Dunn clinched the victory for the Scots in the fourth-seed singles. She defeated Callaway Cook, 6-3, 6-1, for the USA South victory. Kayla Zimmerman (6-4, 6-2) and Kaleigh Basilio (6-0, 6-1) also earned singles victories in contested matches.
Maryville will look next to Oakland City University, as they step out of USA South Athletic Conference play. First serve tomorrow on MC's court is slated for noon.
