Scots Fall to Piedmont
MARYVILLE – Maryville began USA South action on Saturday with a 9-0 loss to Piedmont, which played in last year's league championship match.
Abby Smither earned a team-high three game wins in singles play in the No. 5 spot. Elizabeth Shwaiko was next with two game wins in her singles action in the fourth spot. Each of the Scots' doubles teams also took one game.
Maryville takes on another USA South match on Tuesday. The Scots welcome Covenant at 4 p.m.
