Huntingdon Tops Scots 9-0
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Hawks of Huntingdon blanked Maryville 9-0 in the Scots' first USA South road match of 2022.
"I think we took a step back today, but it happens in athletics," Maryville head coach Doug Corbett said. "We have a strong opportunity to bounce back tomorrow and we are excited!"
Each Maryville competitor took at least one game win in either singles or doubles action. The Scots have kept that streak up all season.
Maryville was again led by Eliza Cheshire and Elizabeth Shwaiko. Both won three singles games each and took a game in their doubles action as the second MC squad.
Melanie Kowalewski won two games in the No. 1 singles slot and one game with doubles partner Abby Diggs.
Maryville wraps up the conference road trip at LaGrange tomorrow. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
