Box Score DEMOREST, Ga. – Maryville made the most of its start to the fall women's tennis season with a weekend at the Piedmont Invitational.
The Scots won a few, lost a few and learned a lot about themselves in the process.
"These invitationals are a great opportunity to gain a lot of experience and learn about strengths and areas to work on." Maryville head coach
Doug Corbett said. "Our primary goal was to have fun and learn from the matches, and we did that!
"We had some flashes of what we want to look like in doubles; just need to put it together a little more. I ask a lot of them in doubles, and it is a process that takes time. In singles, just about all our girls had at least one strong win over the weekend."
