Box Score BUENA VISTA, Va. – Maryville women's tennis finishes their road trip 3-0 as the Scots take down the Southern Virginia University Knights 5-2.
Elizabeth Shwaiko and
Calliana Kondolios claimed victory in doubles at the #2 spot, defeating the duo of Delich and Walton for SVU. The pair earned their first victory together and the doubles point in the process.
Alyssa Smith took the match at the #2 spot, defeating SVU's Delich. Smith is now 4-0 this season, 2-0 at the two position. Kondolios earned an impressive 6-1, 6-1 victory at the #4 spot to remain undefeated and claim her third victory at that spot.
Josie McRae earned a come-from-behind victory, and secured the team win for Maryville, taking her match 3-6, 6-0, 7-5. This was her first victory this season at the #5 spot. She now sits at 2-2 on the season in singles competition.
Abby Diggs won by default at the #6 position, and the duo of
Josie McRae and
Jasmine Muecke won by default at the #3 position in doubles.
Adding in the wins-by-default, Maryville claimed victory over SVU 5-2 to complete a 3-0 week.
