Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. - Maryville Women's Tennis fell on Sunday in the first match of their two-match slate in Orlando, dropping the result 6-1 to Cornell College.
The lone victory for the Scots came from
Jasmine Muecke at the #4 position. The freshman was victorious in her first appearance at the four spot, winning 6-4, 6-1 over Isabella Wallin.
"It was good to see Jasmine get a win today, as she's been playing pretty high in the lineup as a freshman," Coach
Doug Corbett said. "Elizabeth also continues to hold her own very well at the top spot. Doubles is tough when you play with new teams due to injuries, especially with limited practice time."
Senior
Abby Diggs is still struggling with a nagging ankle injury that is preventing her from competitions at the moment. Sophomore
Josie McRae also suffered an injury, further hindering the Scots.
