Scots Third at Spalding Preview

EDINBURGH, Ind. — Maryville wrapped up play at the SU Preview at Timbergate with a top-three finish.

The Scots shot 352-354 for a total of 740, coming in at 130 over par. Host Spalding took home team and individual medals, with Jordan Harris eeking out a first-place finish at 7-over-par 144.

MaKenzie Pile continued her strong weekend, shooting 10 over par. Pile carded 85-82--167 for her second top-10 finish of the spring season. Pile placed sixth, just behind Spalding's Alexis Seay in 5th. 

Chloe Dunlap shot 87-91--178 at 34 over par to tie for 12th.

Lillie Peterson broke 90 for the first time in her young career. The sophomore logged 92-88--180 to finish 36 over par. Emily Miller was right behind in 17th place after carding 88-93-181, with Grace Rector tying for 22nd place with a two-day total of 197.



Maryville returns to the course April 28-30 for the USA South Women's Golf Championship at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
