Throwers Compete at Sewanee

Last Tuneup Before CCS Championships, Which Begin Wednesday at Home

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Maryville throwers completed one final weekend of preparation for the upcoming conference tournament with Saturday's showing at the Mountain Laurel Invitational, hosted by Sewanee.
 
Cam Robinson finished seventh in the hammer with a personal-record throw of 38.69m, and Jaden Marlin was ninth in the shot put with a toss of 12.64m. Besides those two top finishes, Nolan Hutson threw the javelin a PR distance of 30.76m to place 17th, and he hurled the discus a PR distance of 33.39m for 19th place.
 
The final PR went to Josh Lay, who threw the discus 30.19m for a 22nd-place result.
 
Maryville is hosting the 2025 Collegiate Conference of the South Track & Field Championships this Wednesday and Thursday at the Austin Coleman Piper Memorial Track. Admission is free.
