SEWANEE, Tenn.- Women's Track and Field competed at the Mountain Laurel Invitational Saturday, competing in the field events of hammer, shot put, discus, and javelin.
Abbey Cox was the top finisher for the Scots, placing fourth in discus with a throw of 34.47 meters.
Adaline Clouse placed 8th in the javelin with a distance thrown of 20.11 meters, while
Rachel Dunbar placed 7th in shot put with a throw of 10.65 meters. Cox rounded out the top-10 finishers for Maryville with a hammer throw of 36.45 meters, placing 10th. Dunbar set a personal record in the hammer throw with a distance of 31.97 meters (15th place), and right behind her were
Tyrika Small (31.37 meters, 16th place), and
Maddy McClellan (29.54 meters, 17th place).
Adaline Clouse placed 15th in shot put (8.91 meters), with Small and McClellan right behind in 16th (8.59m) and 17th (8.43m).
The Scots will turn around and host the CCS Track and Field Championships this Wednesday and Thursday at the Austin Coleman Piper Memorial Track.
