Three Scots Earn Women's Tennis All-Conference Honors

Shwaiko, Smith, and Reyers Represent Maryville on the List

MARYVILLE - The CCS Women's Tennis Awards have been announced, and three Scots received honors.

Seniors Elizabeth Shwaiko and Alyssa Smith were recognized on the All-Conference Second Team, while newcomer Ella Reyes was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

In singles competition, Shwaiko finished the year 9-9, and 5-7 at the no. 1 spot. Smith finished 12-8 overall, with a record disbursed over five different spots: 2-0 at the one, 2-2 at the two, 2-3 at the three, 1-0 at the four, and 2-0 at the five

Reyes, a tennis newcomer this season after previously playing volleyball for the Scots, went 3-4 overall this season and 2-1 in conference matches. In doubles, she was 3-3 on the year and 2-0 in conference play.

In doubles play, Shwaiko was most often paired with Calliana Kondolios, going 8-10 as a pair. Overall for Shwaiko, she was 9-10 in doubles. For Smith, she was most often paired with Abby Diggs and the duo went 9-10 together. Overall, Smith was 10-11 in doubles.

The Scots will continue their quest for a CCS Tournament Championship tomorrow in the semi-finals against No. 1 Piedmont. More info on the tournament can be found here.
