MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Maryville College men's and women's tennis teams are set for a busy and competitive fall season as both squads prepare for a trio of key events that will help sharpen their form ahead of the spring championship season.
Men's Fall Schedule
The Scots' men open their fall competition with the Maryville Invitational, hosted on campus September 19-20. The home event offers a great early opportunity for the squad to test their depth and set the tone for the season.
From there, the team travels to Memphis for the ITA Regional Championships October 3-5 at the Leftwich Tennis Center, hosted by Rhodes College. The ITA Regional is one of the premier events of the fall and will pit Maryville's top players against some of the best talent in the region.
The men wrap up their fall slate October 24-25 in Demorest, Georgia, at the Piedmont Invitational, a strong tune-up to close out the semester.
Women's Fall Schedule
The women's team kicks off its fall campaign September 28 at the Pfeiffer Invitational in Misenheimer, North Carolina. The Lady Scots will also compete in the ITA Regional Championships October 3-5 at Rhodes College, where they will gain valuable experience against top-level NCAA Division III competition.
The fall concludes with a home scrimmage against Johnson University on October 10, providing an opportunity for the team to compete in a familiar setting and work on match strategy before transitioning into the off-season.
