CINCINNATI, Ohio – Maryville College Track & Field continues their season with another indoor meet at Mt. St. Joseph University on Saturday, February 21
st. The Scots women placed 4
th out of 7 teams with a score of 59 points, and the Scots men placed 3
rd out of 7 teams with a score of 65 points. The teams left the Last Roar with a combined 17 personal records, 6 school records, and 2 season bests.
Women's Recap – Scots Score 59 Points with 3 School Records
Abbey Cox smashed her previous personal best and the school record in weight throw with a 15.50m throw, placing 1
st.
Maddy McClellan threw for 11.59m for an 8
th place finish and a personal best.
In shot put,
Rachel Dunbar led the Scots with a 10.52m throw and a 5
th place finish. McClellan posted a personal best throw of 8.55m for a 14
th place finish.
Hailee Hardman landed a 4
th place finish in long jump at 4.72m, while
Alana Rodriguez delivered a season-best showing of 4.60m and a 6
th place finish.
Caitlin Gravatt also posted a personal best with her 11
th place finish (3.98m).
Maddie Adair and Hardman each placed 1
st in triple jump (10.21m) and high jump (1.40m) respectively.
On the track,
Shelby Walker delivered a school record-breaking showing with her 4
th place performance in the 60-meter hurdles (10.72 sec) as well as a new personal best in the 60-meter (13
th, 9.54 sec). Rodriguez set a new school record in the 60-meter (8.39 sec) and qualified for finals, where she placed 3
rd with a final time of 8.30 seconds.

Cam Robinson threw for 13.43m in the weight throw, placing 5
th and setting a new school record.
Lukas Yackley placed 4
th in shot put with an even 12.00m while
Scott Meredith recorded a personal best of 10.68m with his 10
th place finish.
For jumps,
Austin Umberger and
Manny Palmer were in tight contention for 1
st and 2
nd place in the long jump, recording 6.61m and 6.60m jumps respectively.
Jackson Lakeman hit a new personal best with a 5.06m jump.
Palmer and Umberger struck again in the triple jump and high jump respectively, with Palmer finishing 3
rd overall (12.94m) and Umberger placing 6
th (1.80m).
Lakeman set a new school record for pole vault, placing 4
th with his 3.90 vault.
Clarence McLean dominated in the 60-meter, qualifying for finals with his initial 6.97 second run – a season best for him as well as a school record – before ultimately finishing 1
st in finals with a 6.86 second time.
McLean made another competitive showing in the 200-meter, placing second with his 22.69 second time.
LaRue Tisby (24.78 sec, 11
th), Zederick Drew (24.82 sec, 12
th), and
Nolan Hutson (26.10 sec, 22nd) each also performed well, with Tisby and Hutson posting personal bests.
The Scots will be back in action February 27
th and 28
th at the SAA Indoor Conference Championships in Danville, Kentucky.
