ATLANTA, Ga. – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Sydney Dickinson (Maryville) was named Player of the Week, while Tia Stewart (Maryville) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
Sydney Dickinson delivered a complete performance to lead Maryville to a 4–0 weekend against LaGrange and Sewanee, contributing both at the plate and in the circle. Offensively, Dickinson went 6-for-11, batting .545 with two doubles and a two-run home run while scoring six runs. She posted a .909 slugging percentage and a .615 on-base percentage during the stretch. In addition to her offensive production, Dickinson earned two wins in the circle, facing 36 batters, striking out 15, and allowing just four hits.
Tia Stewart turned in a dominant weekend performance in the circle, helping Maryville secure two key victories against LaGrange and Sewanee. The junior tossed 13 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out 11 batters and issuing only one walk. Stewart faced 51 batters, held opponents to a .200 batting average, and finished the week with a 0.54 ERA. Her command and efficiency played a pivotal role in the Scots' 4–0 showing.
