OLD HICKORY, Tenn. - The Maryville Scots men's golf team competed at the Music City Invitational on March 30-31, finishing 16th overall with a team score of 903 (+63).
Despite the final placement, the Scots were led by a strong individual performance from Jack Porter. He posted a three-round total of 216 (+6), highlighted by an impressive second-round score of 71 (+1). His consistency throughout the tournament stood out as one of the top efforts for Maryville.
The Scots also saw contributions across the lineup. Pierce Shinavier finished with a 227 (+17), followed by Justin Sweeney at 229 (+19) and Jack Jacobsen at 231 (+21). Maciver Davis, competing as an individual, carded a 246 (+36), while Will Beyer rounded out the group with a 252 (+42).
Maryville will look to build on the experience gained this week as they prepare for their next tournament.
The Scots return to action April 18–19 at the Discover DeKalb Invitational.
